Barack Obama’s polling free fall continues as he hits a new all-time low in the current USA Today/Gallup poll.
Only 41% of respondents approve of the job Barack Obama is doing as President of the United States. CNM discusses this dramatic turn of events in the following video:
With these incredibly low polling figures, Barack Obama faces the real potential of wandering into the zone of political impotence known as “lame duck” status. The president has already told concerned Democrats that he will distance himself from them as they campaign this fall so as to not bring down their polling numbers with his own low approval ratings.
It is clear that both Barack Obama and his Democrat Party have lost a substantial amount of trust and support with the American public. It remains to be seen how damaging those losses will prove come the 2010 elections in November.
The synopsis: Chris Matthews justly defended internet entrepreneur Andrew Breitbart during the first taping of Matthews’ Hardball which aired at 5pm ET on Thursday, July 30, 2010.
Matthews told guests Howard Dean and Salon.com’s Joan Walsh that Breitbart had kept exculpatory parts of Sherrod’s speech in the original two video clips which Breitbart posted on his blog. Breitbart has said he received those two video segments pre-edited and has not altered them since:
Apparently, though, for the MSNBC brass and possibly the station’s viewers, Matthews’ defense of Breitbart did not go over so well.
Thus, for perhaps the first instance in Hardball‘s history, Matthews actually re-taped the Sherrod spot and his entire show instead of MSNBC simply re-airing the 5pm ET tape again at 7pm ET.
This time , Matthews wasn’t as kind towards Breitbart:
You’ll note that Walsh incorrectly identifies Roger Spooner twice as a black farmer at the beginning of this re-done segment (the first misidentification coming at approximately the 1:22 mark of the video).
Spooner, of course, is white.
So, as BigGovernment.com asks, who got to Chris Matthews? Why did he feel the need to re-tape his Shirley Sherrod segment and why did his tone towards Breitbart change in the later version of Hardball?
The former governor of Alaska wowed them last night in Turlock, California as she helped raise money for California State University (CSU), Stanislaus.
It was a terrific speech, one of her best to date, and thanks goes to CNM founder John D. Villarreal for capturing the proceedings on film for the best copy of the video that exists on the internet, to our understanding. Here is the full speech, in four parts from YouTube. We will list the individual YouTube links after the videos for those who wish to embed the videos on their own sites.
Conservative New Media is very proud and appreciative to have been able to attend Governor Palin’s brilliant night. The fundraiser set a school record which will help numerous Stanislaus students, and the crowd gave the governor a well-deserved, and sustained, standing ovation at the completion of her address.
The early returns from Sarah Palin’s reemergence onto the public stage are in, and Barack Obama and Democrats should be very concerned. Watch the video for more:
Any plans that Obama and other of her opponents had to halt the Palin Momentum have been shattered. Like her or not — and we at Conservative New Media love her — Sarah Palin is a political and cultural force of nature who simply cannot be ignored.
