My opposition to the atrocity called HR3962

Today, I tried calling my own representative concerning HR3962. Rep. Dennis Moore, 3rd District of Kansas, has a full voice mail box.

Mr. Moore (a so-called Blue Dog Democrat) wrote me back a few weeks ago concerning health care reform. He actually wrote that he is opposed to socialized medicine, or “a single payer system.” Yet, in the same 3-page letter, he states he favors the public option.

Whether it be called a “public option,” “health care co-operative,” or a pile of horse manure in the shape of chocolate cake, it is still a hostile takeover of 1/6 of our economy by the federal government. It’s also an erosion of our freedoms, which we hold dear.

Slapping the American public with more fees and taxes in the midst of a recession makes no sense. What is needed is tort reform, tearing down the walls preventing interstate competition by insurance companies, and tax cuts and credits for those who buy their own insurance.

A complete overhaul of our health care system is recipe for disaster and bankruptcy of this country. I’m in favor of reform, but these socialist ideas will be the end of us if we don’t stop it! Thus, we need to flood the switchboard on the Hill like this and stop this unconstitutional bill!

I got the same response when I tried to contact my Congressman, Paul Kanjorski of the 11th district of Pennsylvania — full mailbox. And, when I tried to use his official email contact form, it bounced back to me.

These liberals don’t care about their constituents and they want to shove this bill down our throats, no matter what. A majority opposes this unconstitutional atrocity but those in Washington don’t care.

We will see how much they care in 2010 when they are tossed out on their unresponsive behinds.

We have 1 Republican traitor in the House…

But I commend those 39 Democrats who voted for America. Ike Skelton, 4th District of Missouri (encompasses most of west-central part of the state but not including the eastern part of the Kansas City metropolitan area), did the right thing.

My representative has betrayed the 3rd District of Kansas!
